How it works

  1. Upload a PDF and enter the signer's email address
  2. They get an emailed link — no account needed — to review and sign it
  3. You're notified once it's signed, with an audit trail (timestamp, IP, browser, and a hash of the signed file)

Frequently asked questions

Is my file sent to a server?

Yes — unlike most tools on this site, this conversion needs software (LibreOffice/Ghostscript/a headless browser) that can't run in your browser, so the file is uploaded, converted on our server, and then deleted. It's not stored beyond the time it takes to process your request.

Is there a file size limit?

Free accounts can process files up to the limit shown on this page; signing up for Pro raises that limit substantially.

Is this a legally binding e-signature?

No — like this site's self-sign tool, the signer's mark is a visual image overlay, not a certificate-based digital signature. This does add a minimum audit trail (the signer's IP address, browser, a timestamp, and a hash of the signed file) so there's evidence of who signed what and when if it's ever disputed, but that's short of the identity-verification and non-repudiation guarantees of a full e-signature compliance product.
