What is a Text kürzen?
Simulates how a card preview, search result snippet, or notification will actually cut off a longer piece of text, so you can check whether your copy still makes sense once it's shortened and an ellipsis is added.

In character mode, yes — it cuts at an exact character count, which can land mid-word. Switch to word mode to always truncate on a whole-word boundary.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No — Text kürzen runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript/WebAssembly. Your text is never sent to a server.
Can I use a different symbol instead of the ellipsis, like 'Read more'?
Not currently — the ellipsis character is fixed as the truncation marker. Add your own custom suffix manually after copying the truncated result if you need different wording.
