Counts only Monday-through-Friday days between two dates — useful for estimating shipping windows, project timelines, or a work-days-remaining count, since a flat calendar-day count overstates actual working time by roughly 2 out of every 7 days. Doesn't account for public holidays, which vary by country and calendar.

Formula
Business Days = Total Days − Weekend Days (Saturdays and Sundays)
Every day in the range is checked individually; Saturdays and Sundays are excluded from the business-day count, everything else is included.
Example
August 2026 (Aug 1–31) contains 21 business days and 10 weekend days across its 31 total days — a useful sanity check before promising a delivery "within 15 business days" that spans a full calendar month.
Common mistakes
- Assuming the result already excludes public holidays — it doesn't; only weekends are removed, since holiday calendars vary too much by country to build in.
- Forgetting both the start and end date are counted if they land on a weekday, not just the days strictly between them.
- Using this for a region where the weekend isn't Saturday/Sunday — the tool assumes the Saturday/Sunday weekend convention.
