Docomint

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 24, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Docomint (“Docomint,” “we,” “us”) and the tools available at this site. By using Docomint, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

1. What Docomint is

Docomint provides free, browser-accessible tools for converting, compressing, editing, and analyzing PDFs, images, documents, audio, and text/developer data, plus a set of calculators. Most tools process your file entirely on your own device; a small number upload your file to a server temporarily to complete the job. See our Privacy Policy for exactly which tools do which, and how long any uploaded file is retained.

2. Using the service

No account is required to use any tool. Creating an account is optional and may unlock larger file-size limits or saved preferences. You're responsible for keeping any account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Docomint to:

  • Upload or process files you don't have the legal right to use, copy, or modify.
  • Upload malware, or content intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or those of others.
  • Attempt to bypass file-size limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions on the service.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, or excessive scripted requests) to abuse or overload the service.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or rehost the service as your own product without permission.

We may suspend or block access for any use that violates these Terms.

4. Your files and content

You retain full ownership of any file you process using Docomint. We claim no ownership or license over your files. For tools that process files entirely in your browser, we never receive a copy of your file at all. For tools that require server-side processing, your file is used solely to perform the conversion or job you requested and is deleted afterward as described in the Privacy Policy — we do not inspect, retain, or reuse it for any other purpose.

You're solely responsible for the content of any file you process, and for having the necessary rights and permissions to do so.

5. Intellectual property

The Docomint website, its design, branding, and underlying software are owned by Docomint and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to use the Docomint name, logo, or branding except as necessary to use the service as intended.

6. Service availability and changes

Docomint is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep every tool reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Limitations and disclaimers

Docomint is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Automated file conversion and processing can occasionally produce imperfect results (formatting differences, quality loss in lossy conversions, or OCR inaccuracies). You're responsible for reviewing any output before relying on it, and for keeping your own backup of original files — Docomint is not a storage or backup service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Docomint and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service, including loss of data, files, or profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Third-party services

Some tools rely on third-party infrastructure to operate — for example, Supabase for authentication and temporary file storage on server-processed tools, and VirusTotal for optional malware scanning of eligible uploads. Your use of Docomint is also subject to the applicable terms of those providers where your data passes through them. See the Privacy Policy for the current list.

10. Termination

You may stop using Docomint at any time. If you have an account, you may delete it at any time via account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms or misuses the service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Docomint operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
