Does this use Western or Chinese zodiac?
Western (tropical) zodiac — the twelve sun-sign system based on birth month and day (Aries, Taurus, and so on). Chinese zodiac uses a different twelve-year animal cycle based on birth year, which this tool doesn't cover.
Why do zodiac sign boundary dates sometimes shift by a day between sources?
Different publications use slightly different boundary conventions, and the sun's actual position relative to each constellation drifts gradually over centuries — this tool uses one commonly cited, fixed set of date ranges, but you may see a birthday within a day or two of a boundary listed under either sign elsewhere.
