Discount / Sale Price Calculator

Calculate a sale price and savings amount from an original price and a discount percentage.

🔒 Processed on your device

A one-step version of a calculation people usually do in their head at the register or while shopping online — enter the sticker price and the advertised discount to see exactly what you'll pay and exactly how much you're saving, without doing the percentage math yourself.

Example: A $80 jacket marked 25% off comes to a $60 sale price, saving $20 — useful for quickly comparing a "25% off" sign against a "$20 off" sign on an identical item to see they're actually the same deal here.

How it works

  1. Enter the original price and the discount percentage
  2. Press Calculate
  3. The sale price and amount saved appear instantly, calculated on your device

Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate a percentage discount?

Multiply the original price by the discount percentage to get the amount saved, then subtract that from the original price for the sale price. A $80 item at 25% off saves $20 (80 × 0.25), for a $60 sale price.

How do I calculate two discounts applied one after another?

Apply them sequentially, not by adding the percentages — a 20% discount followed by a 10% discount is not a flat 30% off. Run this calculator once for the first discount, then run it again using that result as the new "original price" for the second discount.
